We are so excited to announce this next fundraiser for our Perth 200th Anniversary Celebrations.
Here goes: you could be the person to press the button that launches the Canada Day fireworks at Conlon Farm in Perth, Ontario and start your summer vacation in the most memorable way possible and everyone will remember you as the person who got to press the fireworks button (longest run-on sentence ever).
That’s right. We’re hosting a raffle where we’ll select one lucky winner to press the button that sets off the fireworks at the Canada Day Fireworks display in Perth, Ontario on July 1, 2015! The winner will get a personal tour of the fireworks set up by the Perth Firefighters. Then, when the show is set to begin, the winner will be responsible for officially launching the show! They’ll then get to watch the show alongside the Perth firefighters, who host the show at Conlon Farm.
What’s this for?
In 2016, Perth, Ontario turns 200 years old! We have a year-long celebration marked, including the Homecoming weekend in July, 2016. Part of these festivities include children’s entertainment. To make these plans a reality, we need to raise the funds to do so. This raffle will act as a fundraiser for our special anniversary, while giving someone the most amazingly powerful feeling of setting off fireworks. It’s a win-win, really.
How can I buy tickets?
Great question, thanks for asking. You can buy tickets at Spring Children, which is located at 27 Gore St. E. in Perth. They’re open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 11 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
A big shout out goes to Pamela and Janet for hosting this contest at their store.
How much are tickets?
They’re only $2 each!
How will I know if I’ve won?
This draw closes Friday, June 26, 2015 and we’ll announce the winner that day. Good luck!
